In August 2013, she introduced her students to design executives and lead designers at tech startups and design firms in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Students got to see first-hand how intersections between art and technology are creating new and highly-in-demand career paths for art college graduates. Stops included Speck Design, Elemental8, Liquid Agency, Wagic, and Donna by Incredible Labs, which was recently acquired by Yahoo. Other notable stops include visits to the campuses of Stanford, SFAI, UC Berkeley and tours of the Intel Museum, the Tech Museum of Innovation, the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, and the DeYoung Museum.
